Cherry Hill, NJ - SUNRx Inc., the nation's first Prescription Benefit Administrator, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Edward R. Miersch to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Miersch brings a depth of knowledge and experience to SUNRx having spent more than 25 years in the healthcare field with companies such as NovaCare Rehabilitation, the Mercy Health System and Pat Croce's Sports Physical Therapists, Inc. During his career, Mr. Miersch has had a series of successes focusing on growth-oriented companies. His determination, strong communication skills and ability to develop positive corporate cultures will significantly contribute to the success of SUNRx. In this leadership role, Ed was responsible for the strategic growth, profitability and operations of the NovaCare Rehabilitation business, which provides physical therapy, hand/occupational therapy and work injury prevention and management services to physicians, employers, payers and case managers. During Ed's career, he served a 14-year tenure as President and Chief Operating Officer of Pat Croce's Sports Physical Therapists, a provider of physical therapy and sports medicine. More recently, he has been a limited partner in various real estate ventures including Preferred Real Estate, Inc. Ed holds his bachelor's degree from Springfield College in Massachusetts and his master's degree from The Ohio State University. Active within his community, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Fairmount Park Conservancy, Springfield College, and the Brooks-Irvine Football Foundation.
